Baking with Bella!

My friend's daughter, Bella, came over today to bake cupcakes with me, and we had such a great time!  She's almost seven, and is as sweet as can be.  She wanted to help at every step...she measured with me and had fun pouring everything into the stand mixture.

Here she is showing her favorite flower sprinkles:

We chose red velvet with vanilla frosting, and I set up a frosting station for her.  I put everything on a tray to keep the sprinkles from going everywhere, and I put the toppings in flexible rubber bowls to make it easier to put them back in their containers:

She had a blast decorating,

and was so proud of her creations:

I've said it before, but I really want to encourage you to bake with the children in your lives.  It gives them a sense of accomplishment and is just plain fun!
